Europe: Italian centre-left primaries candidates debate on foreign policy

Democratic Party's national secretary Pierluigi Bersani looks to Germany, as well as Democratic Party's young Florence mayor Matteo Renzi's to bring the USA example. Left wing SEL party's leader Nichi Vendola criticizes Europe's role and crisis, as well as centrist API party's candidate Bruno Tabacci call for an European federal evolution.

It's a political arena, a state to build to challenge other geopolitical powers, a big enemy in crisis, or a federal dream. On monday 11/12 centre-left primaries' candidates faced a debate on several themes, as the foreign policy.

Democratic Party's national secretary Pierluigi Bersani told Europe is a political arena in which all left progressive forces must create a common front to balance German chancellor Angela Merkel centre-right economic policies.

Bersani, who is supported by the influent CGIL work union, endorsed the necessity of a patrimonial tax to collect money from the private propriety.

Florence young mayor Democratic Party's member Matteo Renzi supported the construction of the United States of Europe, in which the new European generation is going to grown thanks to the Erasmus project and an European Civil Service.

Renzi, a Christian-democrat politician, also sentenced Italy must make reforms in the public administration and tax policy following the example of the United States of America, strengthening the use of technologies as the Obama democratic administration made in the USA.

Apulia region governor SEL left wing leader Nichi Vendola sentenced Europe is a project in a deep crisis which now has not the power nor the right to impose anything to national states.

Vendola, a former communist politician, strongly supported LGBT rights and supported the possibly for gay couples to adopt children as their sons.

Milan's Budget Assessor and centrist API party's politician Bruno Tabacci  sentenced Europe should increase the internal federalist process in order to foster the role of the EU in all member countries.

Tabacci, a Christian-democrat politician, supported the idea to build a strong centre-left coalition to govern Italy following what happened in Milan, where a "left-centre" coalition obtained the most important Italian town's government after 20 years of right-forces' government.

Centre-left national primaries are to be held in two tranches next 11/25 and 12/5. The electoral competition winner will challenge on April in next national parliamentary election as the leader of a centre-left coalition.
