TYMOSHENKO. "UKRAINIAN AUTHORITIES SHOULD REALIZE THE PROPOSAL OF THE EU PARLIAMENT" CAZZULANI (FILITALIA)
MILAN - Matteo Cazzulani, Chairman of the Integration Committee of Filitalia International Italian District, welcomed the request of the European Parliament for a medical treatment in Germany to the leader of Ukrainian opposition Yulia Tymoshenko.
Chairman Cazzulani, who is also a HR activist in Ukraine and Eastern Europe, stressed that Tymoshenko must not only get a medical treatment, but also be freed from a detention that is politically motivated.
Chairman Cazzulani also underlined that just a strong and common diplomatic pressure of the whole EU can move Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych to respect democracy, HR and freedom of press.
"The European Parliament, together with the European Commission and US Presidential Administration, expressed towards Ukraine a common position in favor of democracy and HR. Ukrainian President Yanukovych must now decide whatever respect Western values or resign from the economical integration in the EU" Chairman Cazzulani said.

THE FACT
On Friday 10-4, European Parliament envoys Pat Cox and Aleksander Kwasniewski officially asked for medical treatment to Tymoshenko in Germany.
The request is aimed to move Kyiv to respect democracy and HR, in order to sign a Deep and Comprehensive Association Agreement with the EU - a document that integrates Ukraine in EU common market.
Tymoshenko was jailed in October 2011 after an unfair process that was considered by the International Community a case of selective justice and political prosecution.
Once jailed, a deeply ill Tymoshenko was spied and beaten, whereas the Ukrainian Authorities denied her any medical treatment.

TYMOSHENKO. "YANUKOVYCH ATTUI LA RICHIESTA DEL PARLAMENTO EUROPEO" CAZZULANI (FILITALIA)
MILANO - Matteo Cazzulani, Presidente della Commissione Integrazione di Filitalia International, venerdì 4 Ottobre ha espresso apprezzamento per la richiesta del Parlamento Europeo di garantire cure mediche in Germania alla Leader dell'Opposizione Ucraina, Yulia Tymoshenko.
Cazzulani, che è anche attivista per i Diritti Umani in Ucraina e in Europa Orientale, ha illustrato come la Tymoshenko non solo debba essere curata, ma anche liberata da una detenzione politica.
Cazzulani ha anche dichiarato che solo una comune iniziativa diplomatica consente all'Unione Europea di costringere il Presidente ucraino, Viktor Yanukovych, a rispettare Democrazia, Diritti Umani, Libertà di Stampa e Libero Mercato.
"Come affermato dal Parlamento Europeo, ma prima ancora dalla Commissione Europea e dall'Amministrazione Presidenziale USA, l'Ucraina deve decidere se rispettare democrazia e diritti umani o rinunciare all'integrazione con l'UE -ha dichiarato Cazzulani- per il Presidente Yanukovych l'occasione è unica: o segue l'Europa, o rinuncia per sempre ai privilegi di una stretta Partnership con l'UE".

IL FATTO
Venerdì, 4 Ottobre, gli inviati diplomatici del Parlamento Europeo, Pat Cox e Aleksander Kwasniewski, hanno richiesto all'Ucraina cure mediche in Germania per la Tymoshenko.
La richiesta mira a convincere Kyiv a rispettare democrazia e Diritti Umani alla vigilia della probabile firma dell'Accordo di Associazione con l'UE: un documento che integra l'Ucraina nel mercato unico UE.
La Tymoshenko è stata arrestata per ragioni politiche nell'Ottobre del 2011 dopo quello che è stato ritenuto dalla Comunità Internazionale un processo selettivo.
Una volta arrestata, una malata Tymoshenko è stata spiata e picchiata in cella, mentre le Autorità Carcerarie non le hanno garantito cure mediche.
