Florence's young mayor promises a National Information Act, a Unified Flexible Contract, the support to the United States of Europe, and measures in support of culture. Renzi also rejects an alliance between the Democratic Party and the UDC centrists.
Florence - The wind of change in a country defeated by a moral crisis. On Saturday 11/17, at Leopolda old station, Florence's young mayor and Democratic Party's member Matteo Renzi call his supporters to a electoral campaign final rush.
In front of several thousand of people, Renzi stated the vote for him represents the possibility to realize a change in Italy, erasing an old political establishment and giving a younger generation the possibility to govern the country.
"I'm not against oldest politicians, but they are responsible for the crisis our country is now facing on in economy - told Florence's young mayor - Italy needs to become the land of dream and hope, in which a will of change is going to be realized".
Renzi explained also his first governmental agenda's priorities, as a National Information Act to publish state's expenses, a Unified Flexible Contract to defeat unemployment, and a change in communication's national system.
Florence's young mayor told also he's going to invest public money in a scholarship's reform and in measure which will increase the role of culture in the country.
Moreover, Renzi sentenced he will abolish the public financing to political parties, he will oblige all deputies to declare the money they earn, and he will endorse measures in favor of the green economy.
In foreign politics, Florence's young mayor told he's in favor of the creation of the United States of Europe with an European electoral system and a continental civic system, in order to create a new European generation.
From the internal political point of view, Renzi rejected the idea of an alliance between the Democratic Party and the centrist UDC party, in order to guarantee a centre-left coalition to reach the majority in the parliament.
"Politics have changed, we are a centre-left party in opposition to centre-right political forces - explained Florence's young mayor - Who is disappointed after centre-right governments can vote for us".
Without naming his main competitor, Renzi criticized Democratic Party's national secretary Pierluigi Bersani, which is supported by the Party's establishment and the influent CGIL left wing work union, of painting him as a right-wing politician.
Moreover, Florence's young mayor told the Democratic Party's establishment published not correct opinion pools, in which Renzi obtains few votes, in order to weak a strong competitor.
"Centre-left primary election is a struggle between who believes that future is a commodity, and who believes that the future is a big challenge - told Renzi - we are the second ones, and we want to write the first step of a new page in national history".
On Sunday 11/25, the centre-left coalition is to held a primary election in order to name the official PM candidate in April national parliamentary election.
Florence's young mayor and Democratic Party's member Matteo Renzi, a Christian-democrat politician, will challenge Democratic Party's national secretary Pierluigi Bersani, a former Minister supported by the party's establishment and the CGIL work union.
Other primary election's competitors are left-wing SEL party's leader and Apulia region governor Nichi Vendola, centrist API party's member and Milan's budget assessor Bruno Tabacci, and the Democratic Party's member Laura Puppato.
According to the opinion pools contested by Florence's young mayor, Bersani is to head the competition, strictly followed by Renzi. Vendola is to gain the third position, while Tabacci the fourth.
