UKRAINE. CAZZULANI (PD) TO TYMOSHENKO: MILANESE PD STANDS BY UKRAINIAN PEOPLE"
MILAN - Matteo Cazzulani, Chair Appointed of Milanese PD relationships with world democratic and progressive Parties on Thursday 2/20 had a phone call with Yevhenia Tymoshenko -the daughter of jailed Leader of Ukrainian opposition Yulia Tymoshenko- in order to express Milanese PD solidarity with the Ukrainian People in its struggle for Liberty and democracy.
"On behalf of Milanese PD Secretary Pietro Bussolati, I said Ms. Tymoshenko that we firmly stand by Ukrainian opposers who are suffering because of the violent aggression of Ukrainian regime's special forces Berkut, that fired against peaceful demonstrator and killed almost a 100 of people in last two days following a precise order of President Viktor Yanukovych" Chair Cazzulani said.
"I also said Ms. Tymoshenko, who tomorrow will be in Rome together with Vicepresident of European Parliament Gianni Pittella, that Milanese PD will not forget the situation of Ukrainian dissidents that were jailed due to cases of political prosecution, as Yulia Tymoshenko one is. I'm very grateful to Ms. Tymoshenko for her presence in Italy tomorrow: as thousands of Ukrainians live and work in Milanese area, and so are part of our society, we are not aware from the demand of freedom and democracy that's coming from Kievian Maydan".
