The Milanese catholic lawyer obtained the 58% of votes. Far left wing journalist and economist Andrea Di Stefano at the second place with the 22%, ahead from primary doctor Alessandra Kustermann , who obtained the third place with the 20% of consensuses.

After the 80% of ballots' count, Umberto Ambrosoli obtained the 58% of total votes.
Ambrosoli has been supported by the Democratic Party of Lombardy, the centrist API party, and Milan's mayor Giuliano Pisapia.
Ambrosoli told he is able to collect the vote of civic society and associations which do not feel represented by no one of political force.
Andrea Di Stefano placed at the second place with the 22% of votes. Di Stefano is an economist and a journalist, who has been supported but far left wing FDS parties' federation and a minority of left wing SEL party.
Di Stefano promised the creation of job places in Lombardy and a Lombardy Region environmental policy's reorientation.
Alessandra Kustermann obtained the 20% of total votes. The one woman candidate, who works as a primary doctor, has been supported by a Democratic Party of Lombardy's minority and a majority of SEL militants.
Kustermann promised a reform of regional health system, which has been presented by Lombardian governor as the best one in all Italian regions.
Ambrosoli will now challenge in early regional election Northern Lombardy's national secretary Roberto Maroni.
Another candidate to early Lombardy Region's election is right wing PDL MEP and former Milan's major Gabriele Albertini, who is supported by CL conservative PDL internal stream, whose leader is governor Formigoni.
