ASSEMBLEA PD. CAZZULANI (EUROMAIDAN): "I PD RENZI, TOIA, PITTELLA E SASSOLI MOLTO ATTENTI ALL'UCRAINA"
MILANO - Matteo Cazzulani, Portavoce del Comitato Euromaidan Lombardia per l'Ucraina in Europa, ha informato in merito alla situazione in Ucraina il nuovo Segretario del Partito Democratico -PD- Matteo Renzi e i principali Parlamentari Europei del PD: il Vicepresidente del Parlamento Europeo, Gianni Pittella, la Vicepresidente dell'Alleanza Progressista dei Socialisti e Democratici Europei, Patrizia Toia, e il Capodelegazione dei Parlamentari italiani nel gruppo S&D al Parlamento Europeo, David Sassoli.
Cazzulani, che è anche un esponente del Partito Democratico, durante l'Assemblea Nazionale del PD di Domenica, 15 Dicembre a Milano, ha illustrato l'importanza di sostenere il desiderio di Europa manifestato da più di un milione di ucraini che a Kyiv e in altre città dell'Ucraina stanno manifestando pacificamente dallo scorso 21 Novembre, nonostante le repressioni della polizia di regime.
"Non possiamo chiudere le porte agli ucraini: popolo europeo per cultura, storia e tradizioni che vuole appartenere ad una Comunità di Democrazia, Diritti Umani, Pace e Progresso -ha dichiarato Cazzulani- È molto positivo che il Segretario e i principali Parlamentari Europei del più importante Partito italiano abbiano prestato interesse alla questione ucraina".

IL FATTO
Nella giornata di venerdì, 29 Novembre, il Presidente dell'Ucraina, Vilktor Yanukovych, ha rinunciato alla firma dell'Accordo di Associazione con l'Unione Europea
Questo documento, che consente l'integrazione di Kyiv nel mercato unico UE, anticipa l'integrazione politica dell'Ucraina in Unione Europea.
La Russia si oppone alla firma dell'Accordo di Associazione perché vuole inglobare l'Ucraina nell'Unione Doganale Eurasiatica: progetto di integrazione sovranazionale varato dalla Mosca per estendere l'egemonia del Cremlino nello spazio ex-sovietico.
L'inglobamento dell'Ucraina nell'Unione Doganale Eurasiatica mette a serio repentaglio la sicurezza energetica ed economica dell'UE, che vedrebbe naufragare la possibilità di rafforzare la propria economia tramite l'integrazione di un Paese dalle enormi potenzialità umane, agricole, industriali come l'Ucraina.
L'Ucraina è il Paese da cui, oggi, transitano i gasdotti che trasportano in Italia il gas dalla Russia -pari al 30% del fabbisogno nazionale. Il controllo di Mosca su Kyiv permetterebbe ai russi il controllo congiunto del carburante e delle infrastrutture che lo trasportano, un fatto che espone l'UE al ricatto energetico di Putin.
Giovedì, 12 Dicembre, il Parlamento Europeo ha approvato una Risoluzione bipartisan che invita le Autorità UE ad abbattere il regime dei visti per gli ucraini, condanna le violenze perpetrate su manifestanti, giornalisti e politici il 9,10 e 11 Dicembre, e si oppone alle ritorsioni commerciali attuate da Putin.
SUL COMITATO EUROMAIDAN LOMBARDIA PER L'UCRAINA IN EUROPA
Il Comitato Euromaidan Lombardia per l'Ucraina in Europa è nato in seguito alla manifestazione per l'integrazione dell'Ucraina in UE che, sabato 23 Novembre, ha radunato a Milano più di 70 persone sotto le bandiere di UE ed Ucraina.
Dopo altre manifestazioni in supporto all'integrazione dell'Ucraina nell'UE a Milano e Bologna, partecipate da più di 100 persone, il Comitato ha ottenuto l'adesione di più di 300 persone, tra cui il Vicepresidente dell'Alleanza Progressista dei Socialisti e Democratici al Parlamento Europeo, Patrizia Toia, la Parlamentare Lia Quartapelle, e il Consigliere Regionale della Lombardia Carlo Borghetti, entrambi del PD.

MILANO - Matteo Cazzulani, Spokesman of Committee Euromaidan Lombardy for Ukraine in Europe, informed about the situation in Ukraine the new Secretary of Democratic Party -PD- Matteo Renzi and other MEPs of PD: the Vice President of the European Parliament Mr Gianni Pittella, the Vice President of the Progressive Alliance of Socialists and Democrats in the European Parliament Ms. Patrizia Toia, and the Spokesman of Italian MEPs of S&D group Mr. David Sassoli.
During PD National Assembly on Sunday 12/15 in Milan, Mr. Cazzulani, who is also a PD member, explained PD MEPs the importance of supporting Ukraine's association within the EU, sharing the request of million of demonstrators that in Kyiv and other towns of Ukraine are asking since 11/21.
"We can't close the door to a European State that asks to join the EU: a Community of Democracy, Human Rights, Peace and Progress that Italy founded for first. It is a quite important signal that the Secretary and MEPs of the most important Italian Party are committed in Ukraine's integration within the EU" Mr. Cazzulani said.

THE MATTER
On Friday 11/30, the President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych refused to sign the Association Agreement within the EU during EU Eastern Partnership Summit in Vilnius, Lithuania.
The AA is a document which integrates Ukraine with EU free common market and anticipates the political integration of Ukraine in the EU.
Russia aims to integrate Ukraine in the Customs Union: a project of political integration conceived by Moscow to strengthen Russian hegemony in former USSR. The strengthening of Russia's influence on Ukraine endangers both EU internal integration and EU position in the world globalized market.
If not integrated within the EU, a country rich of Human, Rural and Industrial resources is condemned to be excluded from the European common market.
Ukraine is also the transit state of pipelines used by Russia to deliver Russian gas to the EU. If Moscow will politically control Kyiv, Russia will own both gas and pipelines and can easily blackmail EU, in order to obtain political concessions.
On Thursday 12/12, a bipartisan Resolution was passed by the European Parliament in order to support visa regime's for Ukrainians cancellation and to condemn both repression on demonstrators, journalists and political opposers by the Ukrainian police and Putin's commercial pressure on Kyiv.
ABOUT THE COMMITTEE EUROMAIDAN LOMBARDY FOR UKRAINE IN EUROPE
The Committee was created after 11/23 demonstration for Ukraine's integration within the EU in Milan in which took part more than 70 people.
After other demonstrations in Milan and Bolonia in which took part more than 100 person, the Committee was joined by the Vice President of the Progressive Alliance of Socialists and Democrats in the European Parliament Patrizia Toia, MP Lia Quartapelle, and Lombardy Regional Councillor Carlo Borghetti -both they are members of the Democratic Party.
